A wonderful lady who made everyone laugh. We've missed her since she left Seely-Brown Village and was happy to hear she found a great home in Texas. Our thoughts are with her family. God bless Sophie.
My mother, Anna P Mellen, often spoke of Sophie as she and my mother were in the same class at the academy. Mom would get on the bandwagon to make sure Sophie would go to the reunions.
We lost the matriarch of our family. Sophie Kowalski was a caring and gentle person. She worked hard her entire life always willing to give a helping hand to anyone in need. Well into her nineties, she displayed a sharp sense of humor and quick political whit that could rival anyone. She will be deeply missed and her memory cherished for years to come.
