Obituary of Irene Marie LaBelle
Irene Marie LaBelle, 82 of Putnam died Saturday October 6, 2012 at the Day Kimball Hospital in Putnam. She was the wife of the late Arthur H. LaBelle. She was born September 17, 1930 in Putnam, daughter of the late Alfred and Eva (Laflamme) Beaupre. She made her home in Putnam all of her life, a communicant of St. Mary Church of the Visitation and a member of the Daughters of Isabella. She was a graduate of St. Mary's School and the Putnam Catholic Academy. She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary in Putnam, enjoyed playing bingo, and spending time eating out and shopping with her friends. She was a devoted catholic, loving mother and cared for her family. She leaves her children: Arthur "Ben" D. LaBelle of North Grosvenordale; Michael G. LaBelle of Putnam; sister Lucille Lalumiere of Danielson; grandchildren Angela, James, Heidi, Halley, great grandchildren Jake, Addison, Ellian, Darien, Zachary and Simon and great great granddaughter Braily and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her son Gary Allen LaBelle, February 1, 2004. A Calling Hour will be Wednesday from 9:30 to 10:30 AM at the Smith and Walker Funeral Home, 148 Grove Street, Putnam, CT, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM in St. Mary Church of the Visitation, 218 Providence Street, Putnam. Burial in St. Joseph Cemetery, Dayville. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Irene's memory to St. Mary Church, 218 Providence Street, Putnam, CT.
