My mother-in-law is at Westview and I walked with her while her roommates's family was crowded around as that woman prepared to die. I did not see Millie but did not expect to as it was approaching 7pm. However,I saw many old friends. I expect heaven will be like that. Ray and Millie, Dot and Wes, Winnie and Elliot,Bub and Betty....what a wonderful future I have.

With deepest sympathy to the Beausoleil family. A great lady. She will be greatly missed by all the workers at Westview. It was an honor to have known her. I've had such pleasure in our short conversations and a joy to have laughed together. Millie, I hope your journey is beautiful and serene. Heaven is lucky to have you.

I know Millie will be greatly missed. She was such a large part of my growing up years and no one else could have filled that spot. She was an inspiration and a very unique human being. My thoughts are with you all.

The Essence of Success--"Successful is the person who has lived well, laughed often and loved much, who has gained the respect of children, who leaves the world better than they found it, who has never lacked appreciation for the earth's beauty, who never fails to look for the best in others or give the best of themselves." Millie has been an inspiration to us all, especially the youth in Putnam's library. That is where I first met her, I remeber being shy and having great difficulty asking for help, but Millie always made it easy for me, she often directed me to reading materials I might not have taken up and found that she was always right. I think I read just about every thing she ever suggested I read, even while she was with me at Westview. I am very sorry that I could not say goodbye to her but I know she understood how special she was to me. As sick as she was, she was always more concerned for me and the trials I was facing. I will keep her in my heart forever. I am sorry for your loss, if there is anything I can do to help, please call on me, Your friend, Judy Holt

Millie occupies a fond place in our childhood memories, both as a neighbor and as the Putnam Librarian. I can still see her smiling seraphically as she presented me with my first library card, reminding me that it was a ticket to the entire world. A few years later, I had the honor of receiving personal instruction from Millie on the library's filing system as she helped me research my first school essay on Thomas Paine. What a wonderful soul the world has lost.
JJ, Sukey and families, you have our deepest sympathies.
