Obituary of Lloyd R. Brown

Lloyd R. Brown, age 64 of Killingly Avenue, Putnam, died Monday at the VA Medical Center in West Haven, after a two year battle with cancer. The beloved husband of Helene (Morin) Brown, they were married, September 2, 1969. He was born September 2, 1940 in Apollo, PA, son of the late Walter and Nellie (Ross) Brown.
Lloyd lived most of his life in Putnam. He served with the US Navy. He was employed at Foxwoods Casino working in environmental services for the last seven years. Lloyd had worked for over 30 years at Anchor Glass in Dayville and eight years at the former Hale Manufacturing Company in Putnam. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather, a hard worker and always made time for his family.
He leaves in addition to his wife, a son Lloyd H. Brown of Putnam, three daughters Susan T. Brown of Putnam, Hidy C. Gray and her husband Richard of Putnam, Nikki Burnett and her husband William of Willimantic, two sisters Eva Williams of W. Leechburg, PA and Mary Ann Smith of Lyndon, PA, two grandchildren, Nicholas Gray and Dakota Rose Gray, several nieces and nephews.
Calling Hours Friday from 2:00 to 5:00 PM at the Smith and Walker Funeral Home, 148 Grove Street, Putnam. Private burial with military honors.
