Obituary of Arthur A. Goulet

Arthur "Archie" A. Goulet, 84, of Rhode Island Road, Putnam, died Tuesday at the Day Kimball Hospital after an illness. He was the husband of the late Bertha (Brousseau) Goulet, she died in 1981. He was born January 26, 1920 in Slatersville, RI, son of the late Arthur Eli and Donna (Lefevre) Goulet. Archie worked as a supervisor for Colts Plastics in Dayville for over 40 years, retiring in 1990. He made his home in Putnam most of his life, a communicant of ST Mary Church of the Visitation in Putnam, a member of the Knights of Columbus in Putnam. For many years he would volunteer his time and sing with his friends at the West View Nursing Home. He was hard working and devoted to his family and always made time for his family. He leaves a son: Ronald and his wife Lorraine of Putnam; a daughter: Marie Sherman and her husband Charles Franklin of Pomfret; a granddaughter: Jennifer Sherman of Putnam, he was predeceased by a brother Eli Goulet. The funeral will be Friday at 9:30 AM from the Smith & Walker Funeral Home, 148 Grove Street, Putnam, followed by a 10:30 AM Mass of Christian Burial in ST Mary Church of the Visitation, 218 Providence Street, Putnam.
