Obituary of Dwight R. Cutler, Sr.
Dwight R. Cutler Sr. 60, of Dayville passed away January 11th at Hartford Hospital after a short illness. He was the husband of Lorraine (Brunet) Cutler of 39 years, who survives him. He was born May 30, 1944 in Putnam, son of the late Jason Cutler and Bertha (Shekleton) Cutler.
He lived in Killingly for much of his life. He was employed at Century Tool Co. Inc. in Thompson. He enjoyed canoeing, biking, motorcycling, cross-country skiing, working in his garage, all of the outdoors, and especially his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, and his two children, Dwight Cutler Jr. and his wife Kimberly (Petrin) Cutler of East Killingly and Cheryl (Cutler) Pigeon and her husband Todd of East Killingly, his brothers and sisters: Donald Cutler of Kingfield, ME; Dick Cutler of Putnam, Eileen (Cutler) Dastous of Brooklyn, Dexter Cutler Sr. of Putnam, Douglas Cutler Sr. of Dayville, Sue (Cutler) Wing of Oklahoma; four grandchildren, Chelsea Cutler, Julie Cutler, Connor Pigeon and Olivia Pigeon all of East Killingly; numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers, Dan Cutler who passed away in 1997 and David Cutler who died at birth.
Calling hours will be Saturday, January 15th from 9:00 to 11:00 AM. at Smith & Walker Funeral Home, 148 Grove Street, Putnam, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 AM St. Anne's Church, Ballouville Road, Ballouville. Burial in Munyan Cemetery in East Putnam.
