Obituary of Stephan E. Rothwell

Stephan E. Rothwell, age 57 of Five Mile River Road, Putnam, died Sunday at his home after a long Illness. He was the beloved husband of Gwendolyn (Dubois) Rothwell; they were married June 15, 1974.He was born March 5, 1948 in Putnam, son of Norma (Anderson) Rothwell of Thompson and the late Charles Rothwell. He had made his home in the Thompson and Putnam area all his life. He was employed as an engineer at Ivanhoe Tool and Die in Thompson for 36 years. He was a member of the Thompson Congregational Church and was a member of the Church Dart Ball team. He was an avid Coin and Stamp Collector, and fan of NASCAR Racing. He enjoyed his motorcycle and riding throughout New England. He also enjoyed puzzles and his dogs. His greatest love was his family; he was a loving and caring husband, father, grandfather and son. In addition to his wife and mother he leaves, two sons: Stephan J. Rothwell and his wife Nora of Charlotte, NC; Benjamin Rothwell of Putnam; two daughters: Sharlene Pugh of Anderson, SC; Shannon Rumrill and her husband Randy of Dayville; a brother: Kevin Rothwell of Woodstock; three grandchildren: RJ; Tara; Elizabeth. His father-in-law: Al Dubois; a brother-in-law: Gregory Dubois, both of Oxford, MA. A memorial service will be Friday at 2:00 PM in the Thompson Congregational Church, Routes 193 & 200, Thompson.
