Barbara L. Hamblin, 68 of Smith St. Putnam, CT, died Wednesday at the Oakwood Nursing Center in Webster, MA, after an illness. She was born in Jamaica Plain section of Boston, May 25, 1936, daughter of the late John and Grace (Bowen) Turner. She worked for many years as a spinner in Woolen Mills. She leaves her children: John W. Hamblin, Jr. of Putnam; Theresa Hedstrom of Utah; a sister: Charlotte Haskell of Norwood, MA; her close friend: Linda Edwards of N. Grosvenordale; 14 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; Family and Friends are invited to attend a graveside service Wednesday May 18th at 2:00 PM in Elmvale Cemetery, Senexet Road, Woodstock, CT.
