Obituary of Patricia A. D'Elia

Patricia A.DElia, 70, of Quaddick Road, Thompson, CT, died Monday afternoon, June 6, 2005 at the Day Kimball Hospital with her family at her side. She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph Ulysses DElia, he died May 24, 2005. She was born May 19, 1935 in Providence, RI, daughter of the late Anthony and Helen Maskeuicz. She was a Registered Nurse, working at the Matulaitis Nusing Home in Putnam for over 30 years, she retired in 1996. She had also worked in Nursing at Hospitals in the Providece Area. Patricia made her home in Thompson for most of her life. She was a graduate from the Rhode Island School of Nursing and a graduate of the Quinebaug Community College. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Thompson Hill Fire Department. She enjoyed traveling with her husband and grandchildren. She was an avid gardener, spending many hours working in her flower gardens. She leaves her children: Stephen D'Elia of Thompson; Kevin D'Elia and his wife Rita of Cooksville, TN; Audrey Brousseau of Putnam; five grandchildren: Joshua, Adam, Caroline, Jillian and Jennifer: a great-granddaughter Chelsea; an Aunt: Mary Bucci of RI and a cousin: William Bucci and his wife of RI, a close friend Pat Valys of Dayville. A Memorial Mass will be Monday at 10 AM in St. Joseph Church, 12 Main Street, North Grosvenordale. Burial of Patricia and her husband Joseph will follow in Munyan Cemetery, Putnam.
