Obituary of Lawrence Krushefsky
Lawrence Krushefsky, 71, of Woodstock Valley, died Tuesday August 23, 2005 at UMASS Medical Center, Worcester, Massachusetts. Larry, A.K.A. the Egg Man, was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend. He was born October 30, 1933 in Putnam and was the only son of four children born to the late John and Mary Krushefsky.
He attended high school at Woodstock Academy and finished two years of college education at UCONN, Storrs, before deciding to buy out his fathers poultry business.He was a longtime resident and successful businessman in Woodstock Valley spending over thirty years running Valley Poultry Farm. As a young man Lawrence embraced the responsibilities as a town constable and member of the Bungay Fire Brigade. He married his soul-mate, Patricia S. (Darling) Krushefsky and remained happily married for almost 49 years.
He leaves behind his wife, three loving children and their families. His son Jeffrey, and his wife Laurie and daughter Brianna of Sturbridge, Ma; daughter Laura and her son Jacob Burnett of Southbridge, Ma; and Kim and her husband William Love, son, Billy and daughter Bailey, of Eatontown, NJ. Larry also predeceased his three sisters, Mary Jane Facas, of New London, CT Catherine Musial of Woodstock Valley, CT and Geraldine Zachas, of Groton, CT.
Larrys most favorite past time was spending time with his four grandchildren Brianna, Billy, Jacob and Bailey. Additionally, Larry enjoyed hobbies such as cooking, woodworking, fishing and his Monday night card games. Larry was an extremely hardworking man who always put his family first. He was a kind, loving and gentle man who will be deeply missed by all those who knew him.
