Obituary of Elizabeth B. Bosworth

Elizabeth B. Bosworth, 95 of Woodstock, died Saturday at the Westview Nursing Center in Killingly. She was the wife of the late Cemerrill Dimon Bosworth, married in Manchester, November 23, 1944, he died November 21, 1993. She was born March 2, 1910, in Putnam, daughter of the Walter Evan and Eleanor (Arnold) Barrett. She was a graduate of the Manchester High School Class of 1928 and worked at the former Belding Hemingway Company in Putnam.She moved to Woodstock in1951, living on Senexet Road, South Woodstock. She was an active member of the First Congregational Church of Woodstock, it's Women's Fellowship; active member of the Day Kimball Hospital Woman's Board acting on their Executive Board; active member of former Jessamine Chapter and present member of the Betty Putnam Chapter #106 Order of the Eastern Star and served as Worthy Matron, Secretary & Treasurer; active member of the former Putnam's Women's Club served as president; active member of the General Federation of Women's Clubs in Connecticut served as president and an active member of the Woodstock Fair Women's Division for many years. She was predeceased by her daughter, Suzanne Eleanor (Bosworth) Bell, July 1996. She is survived by her late daughter's husband, Steven D. Bell, a grandson Walter M.H. Bell and granddaughter, Jennifer L. Bell all of Woodstock. A Memorial Service will be Sunday, October 23, 2005 at 3 PM in the First Congregational Church of Woodstock, Route 169, Woodstock, CT. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory to First Congregational Church of Woodstock, P.O. Box 147, Woodstock, CT 06281 or Day Kimball Hospital Annual Giving Appeal P.O 632, Putnam, CT 06260.
