Obituary of Lorraine D. Benoit
Lorraine Benoit, 86 formerly of Woodstock Ave, Putnam died Thursday at Matulaitis Nursing Home, Putnam. She was the wife of the late Raymond A. Benoit, he died September 25, 1988. She was born in Webster, MA, June 3, 1919, daughter of the late Exaure and Aldea (Parenteau) Plasse.
She had made her home in Putnam most of her life, a communicant of ST Mary Church of the Visitation.
She is survived by two daughters: Janice Phaneuf and her husband Bernard of Putnam, Estelle Girard and her husband Robert of Dayville, one son: Reverend Raymond P. Benoit of Lowell, MA, one sister: Clemence Ciolek of Webster, MA, eight grandchildren, Seven great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a daughter Gloria Bicknell in 1989.
A Mass of Christian burial was held Monday at ST Ann Church in Ballouville. Donations may be made in her memory to Matulaitis Nursing Home, 10 Thurber Road, Putnam, CT 06260.
