I will always remember your Mom's terrific sense of humor and cheerfulness. Whenever I saw her, she had something nice to say.
For years we have heard the wonderful memories of Mack and David's many adventures with Mary in Maine.
Thinking of you,
BJ and Hartley

Some of my fondest memories are of vacationing in Maine with Mary, Mark and the Peterson kids. I still laugh when I think of Mark trying to coach Mary out of the slow lane on the drive up there, "C'mon gramma, now, go now gramma!!!' I am very sorry for your loss.

Mary was a very special friend to me. Her service as Sunshine Lady is most appropriate because wherever she went she certainly had a way of spreading sunshine. She always made me feel important and let me know she came to see me and not the mess she would sometimes encounter when children have created messes. I will treasure my memories of our "breakfast or luncheon outings" we would sit and chat for hours. She loved her family dearly - everyone and she certainly showed her pride in sharing her memories of visits with them. I had the pleasure of teaching Sunday School with Mary at EWCC and those will now become for me cherished memories. She wanted the children to love the Lord the way she did. If they learned nothing else she did want them to love God and treat others the way they wanted to be treated. She certainly loved children for it showed in her manner. She also would send cards of thoughtfulness and cheer some with an iris flower on them to let me know she was thinking of me. And when she sent it through the mail there by her signature was always a smiley face. Her sign of love and cheer. She sprinkled kindness everywhere and if she didn't know you she would make a point to search you out and introduce herself and instantaeously you had a new and special friend in Mary. I will miss her deeply. I loved her so. But I know she is up there in heaven now and I am sure she has taken over coordinating all the events for our Lord. She will do a wonderful job at it too. God bless you all and God bless you Mary. You lit up the world wherever you went. Your forever friend, Iris
