My father and I already gave tribute, however i must say, John was indeed a fine man. As a child, Alice and John would allow myself and my siblings to swim in the pool and on occasion, go over just to visit. I have never met a couple so compassionate and given as John and Alice.
Years ago back in the 80's my father was ill and hospitalized during Christmas. John brought over a Christmas tree, offered to go to the store for my mom and made sure her car was fine tuned. I also remember the P'J's donuts he brought for us as a treat!
Love you John and Alice, gone but never forgotten (Hugs)

To my AuntAlice and Cousins:
Please know that even though we are seperated by many miles you have all remained close my in heart and in my daily prayer. As so many others have said, Uncle John was such a gently easy going soul. He always loved to give rather than receive. He was always doing something for someone else. His family meant the world to him and over the years as his family grew he would continue to share that love with each and everyone of them. A husband of 46 years {a true blessing of not only love but friendship} a father of four children which he loved immensely through the good times and the bad, a grandfather to three very special young men{grandfathers are sooo special} and then the last love of his life his great grand daughter Natalia Jade. My heart truly aches for you during this terrible time of sorrow. As we continue to see our extended family age and enter different seasons of life my prayer is that we continue to remember how blessed we are to be able to share our love with each and everyone of our family members. May the memories that our God has so blessed us with remain close to our hearts and be our legacy. I continue to pray that our good Lord will bless you with a peace and comfort in these most difficult days of sorrow. Love to all, Lea

Where do I begin? Everyone here has special memories of John. Mine are great and vast! So many things I've seen and learned, and for all of that I thank him! It's hard to say goodbye to the man I idolized for so long,....
... He is my HERO!!!!!! And he always will be!!! I will always miss the many stories he told, especially when they were stories of when he was younger, and I'll miss the time he would take to listen. He always tried to give to whom ever he could, unconditionally, and for that so many love him, and will always miss him.
Strong but not bold, confident but not conceded. He's honest generous, and the best damn friend you could ever have.
... Hey Gramps!!! In my eyes you were my DAD and I thank you! And I'll miss you!! You've helped me through so much, and shared so many things you could. For that I am grateful and I will always be proud to say that you are my GRANDFATHER!!!!!

Dad...Only when you drink from the river of silence shall you indeed sing. When you have reached the mountain top, then you shall begin to climb. And when the earth shall claim your limbs, shall you truly dance. I will love you always. Thank you for being my Dad.

I have such fond memories of my visits with Uncle John. I always loved our family picnics and in the past few years I enjoyed playing cards, and I loved to share a cup of coffee and conversation and will miss him so much.
He was a wonderful man and I am proud to have him as my Uncle.

Alice and Family,
So sorry to hear of John's passing. I will always have very fond memories of being at your house when my kids were much younger.(Great parties) John, and all of you for that matter, had always made us feel like we were part of the family, those were special times for me and my boys. During this time of sorrow and grief I hope you all find comfort in the Lord. We don't always understand His timing, but know that John is embraced in God's loving arms right now. I'll pray for peace in all your hearts. God Bless, DeeDee
