Obituary of Gertrude M. Baribeault
Gertrude Baribeault, 90,formerly of Ballou St., Putnam, died Wednesday at the Haven Health Care in Danielson. She was born October 23, 1915 in Putnam daughter of the late James and Bertha (Carpenter) Denning.
She retired after twenty years of employment at Day Kimball Hospital working in the laundry department. She had made her home in Putnam all her life, a communicant of ST Mary Church of the Visitation in Putnam. She was a longtime member of the Putnam VFW Ladies Auxiliary and former Irish American Club.
She leaves a daughter: Jean Levesque and her husband Ron of Somerset, MA; a son: Robert Baribeault, Jr. of Three Rivers, CA; three grandchildren: Jacqueline Benoit; Thomas Baribeault; Mark Baribeault; a great granddaughter: Danielle; several nieces & nephews. She was predeceased by her sister, Bernice, brothers, James, Thomas, Kenneth, George, Bernard.
Funeral will be Satuday at 12:30 PM from the Smith & Walker Funeral Home, 148 Grove Street, Putnam. Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 1:00 PM in St. Mary Church of the Visitation, 218 Providence Street, Putnam. Calling hour Saturday from 11:30 to 12:30 PM at the Funeral Home. Burial in St. Mary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her memory to American Lung Association of Connecticut, 45 Ash St., East Hartford, CT 06108.
