My mother-in-law was a roommate of Ruth's for the past 2-3 years. Her name was Cora Kirkup and I visited her daily. Everyday that I came in I said hello to Ruth and she always responded with a smile. She helped my mother-in-law, who is legally blind, with telling her different ways to get around. Ruth will always be remembered by me as a "smiling woman, who never let her feelings out." When I asked her if I could do anything for her she responded, "No, I'm okay" and she shrugged her shoulders. I said my final good-by to Ruth on Tuesday and she just smiled. It was what she wanted. My deepest sympathy in the loss of your mother.</b></font><br><br>
