Obituary of Dorothy Beverly Shippee

Dorothy Beverly Shippee, age 90, formerly of Putnam, died Tuesday morning at the Westview Health Care in Dayville, where she as made her home for the last 14 years. She had made her home in Putnam for many years and on Underwood Road from 1964 to 1991. She was the wife of the late Roy Shippee, he died in 1970. She was born July 18, 1915 in Thompson, CT, daughter of the late Edgar H. and Nina (Rhodes) Wetherbee, Sr. She had worked for many years at the former Sanitary Dash Company in Thompson. She leaves her brother: Edgar Wetherbee and his wife Marguerite ( Peggy) of Wilsonville; a grandson: Jeffrey Hoffman and his wife Kimberly of New Britain. She was predeceased by her daughter: Charlotte A. Viens in 2004; her grandson: Brian Hoffman in 2004. Funeral Services will be private, burial in the West Thompson Cemetery in Thompson.
