Obituary of Minnie Lee Perreault

Minnie Lee (Carter) Perreault, 81,of Putnam, died on Thursday January 5, 2006 in Tempe, AZ. Born April 13, 1924 in Alamance County, NC,she grew up on a farm which gave her many fond memories. Minnie moved to Putnam in 1945 following her marriage to Raymond A. "Stretch" Perreault, of Putnam, her husband for 52 years, now deceased, whom she met while he was stationed at Fort Butner, NC during WWII. She made her home in Putnam for 60 years where she raised her 3 children and was employed by Belding Hemingway and American Optical before retiring. She was a member of the Putnam Baptist Church, the VFW Ladies Auxiliary and the Putnam Travelers Club. Minnie enjoyed worldwide travel with her family, camping in her familys trailer, relaxing at the beach and was an avid card player. In addition to her husband, she is predeceased by her mother, Mildred Norwood of NC. She is survived by her three children, Richard G Perreault of Chandler AZ, Joanna R. Teran and her husband Alfonso of Chandler AZ, and Melinda K. Forella and her husband Thomas of Burlington CT, and five grandchildren, Brian and Nicole of Chandler, Michelle, Alicia, and Timothy of Burlington. She is also survived by her step-sisters Camilia Dixon and Brenda Hughes of NC, her sister-in-law Helena Husted and a nephew Fr. Lou Perreault both of Henderson NV. Family and friends may call Tuesday January 10, 2006 from 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8 pm at the Smith & Walker Funeral Home, 148 Grove St, Putnam. The Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, January 11, 2006 at 11 am in the Putnam Baptist Church, 170 Church Street, Putnam.
