My thoughts and prayers are with you today. My childhood years at Eastford Congregational Church were shaped by Gladys' leadership, enthusiasm and sincere interest in each of the children there. She always took the time to encourage and speak. I recall her beautiful singing voice before our opening each Sunday and in the choir, her amazing ability to do everything she touched so well and with such graciousness. She has left a legacy of Christian commitment to a generations of individuals. I also smile recalling the big Irish Setters riding around in the convertible with Gladys at the wheel!
I'm sure she is singing in the heavenly choir today as the Lord has received one of his own.Blessings to each of the family.

My brothers and I were blessed to grow up as "neighbors" to the Tatems. I remember with particular fondness: caroling through Eastford with Mr. and Mrs. Tatem at Christmas time, and enjoying the summer "frog jump" and concert with them at Eastford Congregational Church. Mrs. Tatem will forever be in my heart.
