Edwin Hartley Anderson, Sr., age 86, of Vina Lane, Brooklyn, died Monday at the home of his granddaughter Terri Warren in Eastford. Devoted husband of 65 years to Eleanor (Ide) Anderson, they were married on December 20, 1941. Born April 4, 1919, son of the late Estella Barsalou.
He had worked at Hillshire Farm, Cranston Print and Danco for many years. He had made his home for over 55 years on Elliot Road in Thompson, moving to Creamery Brook, Brooklyn in July 2005. Since September of 2005, he has been living with his granddaughter and her family.
In addition to his wife he leaves his sons: David R. Anderson of Sterling; Richard P. Anderson of Chugiak, AK; Donald R. Anderson of Moses Lake, WA; James A. Anderson of Chugiak, AK; 12 grandchildren and 14 Great grandchildren . He was predeceased by 2 sons: Edwin H. Anderson, Jr. formerly of Norwich; Carl G. Anderson formerly of Woodstock and 2 grandchildren.
