Antoinette D. Becia, 86, of Bonosconi Drive, Putnam, died Saturday morning at Matulaitis Nursing Home in Putnam. She was the wife of the late George A. Becia, they were married July 24, 1943. He died January 20, 2004. She was born November 4, 1919 in Putnam, daughter of the late Barthelemy and Angelina (Durocher) Renaud. She was a communicant of ST Mary Church of the Visitation, Putnam, and an avid reader. She was a devoted mother and grandmother. She leaves three daughters: Sandra Becia of Putnam; Donna Ploskonka of Danielson; Lynn Peckham of Putnam, grandchildren: Laurie Ploskonka; Jason Ploskonka; Caleb Peckham; Seth Peckham, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Edward Renaud. Funeral Services will be private. Donations may be made in her memory to ST Mary’s School, 23 Marshall Street, Putnam, CT 06260, or to the ST Mary Church Renovation Fund, 218 Providence Street, Putnam, CT 06260. Mrs Becia was a great lady. I was very lucky to have the pleasure remeniscing with her one Sunday morning at breakfast. We talked about all the good times we had with her and her family.
