Obituary of J. Francis Lozeau
J. Francis Lozeau, 83 of Thompson Road, Webster, MA, died Sunday in the Webster Manor, Webster, MA. He was the husband of Muriel (Belisle) Lozeau, they were married July 4, 1945.
Born September 22, 1922 in Uxbridge, MA, son of the late Remi and Emma (Berard) Lozeau. He was a communicant of ST Mary Church of the Visitation, Putnam, and a thirty three year communicant of Holy Family Parish in Woonsocket, RI, actively involved with the CYO, CFM, and the choir. He had made his home in Woonsocket for many years.
He worked as a construction supervisor for a number of local constructions companies in the Woonsocket and Boston areas. In 1978 he went to work for Gilbane Construction and worked on several projects across the country for many years. After retiring, he went to work for Barton Malow. He enjoyed traveling the USA and abroad, and photography.
In addition to his wife, Muriel, he leaves his children: Suzanne Melson of Jacksonville, FL, Madeleine Isble of Woonsocket, RI, Jeannette Marcotte of North Augusta, SC, Maurice Lozeau of West Warwick, RI, Denise Lozeau of Midwest City, OK, Thomas Lozeau of Putnam, CT, brother: Albert Lozeau of Pittsburg, PA, 14 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by siblings: Sr. Alicia Lozeau, Eva Jacques, Joseph Lozeau, Frederick Lozeau.
The Funeral will be Friday at 10:00 am from the Smith & Walker Funeral Home, 148 Grove Street, Putnam, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 am at ST Mary Church Of The Visitation, 218 Providence Street, Putnam. Calling hours will be Thursday from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial in ST Mary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
