Obituary of Dorothy L. Snell-Williams

Dorothy L. Snell Williams, of Maple Court, Danielson, passed away May 18, 2006 at University of Massachusetts Medical Center after a short illness. She was born in Foster, RI.

She owned and operated Cascades Restaurant in N. Grosvenordale, worked at William Prym Company for 8 years and sold Avon for many years. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, helping out in any way she could. She had a heart of gold and was loved by many. She will be sadly missed.

She leaves 3 sons and 1 daughter, John Snell and wife Donna of Danielson, Louis Champney of Garfield, NJ, Dorothy L. Snell of Danielson, Norman Snell and fiance Linda Hogue of Sterling; two brothers, Donald Castonguay of Putnam, Walter Wilson of Plainfield, two sisters, Mildred Cole of Belchertown, MA; Marjorie Brown of Danielson, 12 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren, all who loved her dearly.

A Memorial Service will be held on June 3rd (Saturday) at 11:00 AM at the Abington Congregational Church, Route 97, Pomfret, CT, followed by burial in Abington Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CT Audubon Society Center at Pomfret, 189 Pomfret Street, Pomfret Center, CT 06259.
