Obituary of Stanley W. Kwasek

Stanley W. Kwasek, 59, of Maynard St., Putnam died Tuesday morning at home after a courageous 10 month battle with lung cancer. He was born December 10, 1946 in Framingham MA., son of the late Joseph and Eva (Lemire) Kwasek. He was a Veteran of the Vietnam War, serving from 1965 to 1969 with the US Navy, stationed in Danang as Naval Support. He was employed for 20 years at General Motors in Framingham until 1989 when the plant closed and at US Button in Putnam for the past nine years. He was a former member of the Putnam VFW and American Legion. Stanley was a loving and caring husband, father and pepe and enjoyed taking his children for walks. He loved to make everyone he came into contact with smile and laugh. His passing will leave a void in all those who knew and loved him. He leaves his wife of 26 years, Andrea (Nichols) Kwasek, 6 children, Kimberly Perry and husband Jon of Marietta, GA, Tracey Koprusak of Burrillville, RI, Kristen Kwasek of Plainville, MA, Christopher Kwasek, Alexandria Kwasek and Jennifer Kwasek of Putnam, 7 grandchildren, numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Stanley was one of 9 children and leaves sisters Mary Luca and husband Charles of N. Conway, NH; Stella Kwasek of Wauregan; a brother George Higgins of Las Vegas, NV. Predeceased by siblings Billy Lemire, Theodore Kwasek, Joseph Kwasek. The Funeral will be Saturday at 10 AM from the Smith & Walker Funeral Home 148 Grove Street, Putnam, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 am at ST Mary Church of the Visitation, 218 Providence Street, Putnam. Burial with Military Honors in Grove Street Cemetery, Putnam. Calling Hours Friday from 2:00 to 4:00 pm and 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the Funeral Home.
