Obituary of Alice Marie Vanasse

Alice Marie Vanasse, age 108, formerly of Pineville Road, Dayville, died Sunday morning August 20, 2006, at the Westview Health Care Center in Dayville. She was born July 17, 1898 in Fremont, New Hampshire, daughter of the late Reme and Laura (Beaulieu) Jolicoeur. Alice owned and operated Alice's Beauty Salon on Gladys Street in Danielson for over 35 years, she retired in 1966. In the 1940s she worked at the Belding's Company in Putnam for ten years. She was a resident of killingly for over 70 years; communicant of St. Anne's Church in Ballouville, Alice was a devout Catholic. She was an outstanding seamstress and enjoyed knitting, crocheting and playing cards. She leaves her son Harry Vanasse of Dayville, 7 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her siblings, Thelesphore, Meddie, Nelson, William, Arthur, Oxena, Rose Millard, Clara Vadnais. Funeral Services will be private.
