Obituary of Donald Fisher, Sr

Donald Dutch Fisher,Sr., 91 of Putnam, passed away peacefully on September 2, 2006, at the Day Kimball Hospital. He was the beloved husband of 63 years of Edith Evelyn (Woodis) Fisher. He was born in Putnam, July 23, 1915, son of the late James Clayton Fisher and Ethelyn (Paine) Holmes Fisher. He attended the Putnam Trade School before joining his brothers in the the family business, Fisher Bros. Dairy. He worked as a farmer and Dairyman before retiring September 2, 1986. He was a member of the Putnam United Methodist Church. He leaves in addition to his wife Edith, a son,Donald Fisher, Jr. and wife Florence of Thompson; daughters,Bette Magnan and husband Jim of Manchester, Maine; Barbara Moseley and husband Thomas of Knoxville, Tenn; Three grandchildren; five great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his siblings,Edwin Fisher, Roy Fisher and Lillian Donlan. Funeral Service will be Wednesday at 11:00 AM at the Smith & Walker Funeral Home, 148 Grove Street, Putnam. Calling Hours Tuesday from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial In Putnam Heights Cemetery. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, Memorials be made to the charity of your choice.
