Ellen Richardson Knight posted a condolence
I was so sorry to read of Don's passing. I would have come to pay respects and comfort you had I known sooner. He was a special friend as my sister told you, and brought buddies to our house. One of them was Parker and that's how we met. Told Don it was his fault. The last time I saw him was at Parker's memorial in June and he hugged me and our daughters. Sometimes I find myself saying "chabiddy-biddy-bee" an old favorite of Donnie's. He will always have a special place in the hearts of the three Richardson girls, Judy, Ellen and Priscilla. We will always love and miss him as I'm sure you do. Deepest sympathy to all the family.

I will always remember Don sitting on his bike, or drinking his coffee with his friends at the Village. Although I met him from working at the Village many years ago, he always said hello, and we always had a wonderful time catching up. We recently lost our six month old son, and I can only hope that the two of them are together in heaven watching down on us. He was a wonderful man with many, many wonderful attributes, and will be missed.

Don gave me my first motorcyle ride in 1958. I was 14 and thought he was the coolest guy. We drove around Roseland Lake. I lived with Ken and Lillis Andrews. At the end of Hall road Don and some others build a dirt racetrack in the woods. I used to watch him race a midget car around the track. Over the years I would bump into Don at the fair and here and there. It was always good to talk to him. A great guy. My thoughts and prayers extend to his family and friends.

Please accept my condolences on the loss of your dad. Know that he is with you always and is supporting you during this difficult time.
I’d like to share a poem someone sent to me… I hope that it will bring you comfort.
“Memories Keep Those We Love Close to Us Forever”
~ Linda E. Knight
Although words seem to say so little,
may they help in some small way
to ease the sense of loss
that you’re experiencing.
Hold fast to your memories,
to all the cherished moments of the past,
to the blessings and the laughter
the joys and the celebrations,
the sorrow and the tears.
They all add up to a treasure.
of fond yesterdays
that you shared and spent together,
and they kept the one you loved
close to you in spirit and thought.
The special moments
and memories in your life
will never change.
They will always be in your heart,
today and forevermore.
You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers, Brenda.
Love,
Diane
