Obituary of Lucille J. Naines

Naples - Lucille J. Naines, age 89, formerly of Woodstock, passed away at Heritage Nursing Center, Naples, Florida on Thursday January 25, 2007 after an extended illness. She was the beloved wife of Joseph F. Naines. She was born June 17, 1917 in Southbridge, MA, daughter of the late Rudolph & Corrine Peck Lavigne. She attended Woodstock Schools and Woodstock Academy. Lucille and Joseph were married on November 9, l935 and made their home on a dairy farm in Woodstock, CT. Lucille enjoyed family gatherings, music, dancing and playing her organ. Lucille and Joseph retired in 1976 and moved to Naples, FL. Lucille is survived by her husband Joseph of 71 years, her daughter Lucille Blackmer Rucki and her husband Walter J. Rucki, Jr. of Pomfret, CT, her grandson Robert M. Blackmer and his wife Karen, her great-grandchildren Kathryn and Michael Blackmer, her granddaughter, Cheryl S. Lemieux and husband Philip, all of CT. She is also survived by her son Anthony F. Naines of Naples, FL, her grandson Brian A. Naines and great-granddaughter Kaia Naines of Jacksonville, FL. She was predeceased by a son-in-law, Robert F. Blackmer, a daughterin-law, Donna Green Naines and brother Enoch Lavigne. A Funeral Mass for Lucille, Saturday, February 3rd at 11:00 AM in Most Holy Trinity Church, Pomfret, CT. She will be laid to rest at the South Cemetery, on Barlow Cemetery Road, Woodstock,CT. Relatives and friends are welcome to pay their respects at the Smith & Walker Funeral Home, 148 Grove Street, Putnam, CT, on Saturday February 3rd at 9:30 to 10:30 AM.
