Obituary of Gertrude B. Charron
Gertrude B. Charron, 90, formerly of Smith Street, Putnam, died Tuesday at Matulaitis Nursing Home in Putnam. She was the wife of the late, Albert P. Charron, he died in 1992. She was born February 19, 1916 in Putnam, daughter of the late Albert and Victoria (Dumas) Morin.
She made her home in Putnam all of her life and was a communicant of ST Mary Church of the Visitation in Putnam. Gertrude had worked for many years at various manufacturing companies in the area, retiring in 1974 from Belding Corticelli. She enjoyed bowling, bingo, puzzles and was an avid reader.
She leaves three daughters: Johanna Pechie of Dayville; Charlotte Trahan of Woodstock; Prudence Marchesseault of Danielson, ten grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren, predeceased by brother, Norman Morin, sisters, Estelle Willis; Laura Gravel; Simone Harpin.
The Funeral Service will be held Monday at 10:00 am at the Smith & Walker Funeral Home, 148 Grove Street, Putnam. Burial in ST Mary Cemetery, Putnam. To share a memory with her family Light a Candle at www.smithandwalkerfh.com
