Obituary of Joyce A. Janczyk
Joyce A. Janczyk, 71, of Fox Road, Putnam, died Thursday, February 8, 2007, at home. She was the wife of the late Tadeusz "Ted" Janczyk, He died September 9, 1973. She was born April 4, 1935, daughter of the late Fred and Alice (Shippee) Smith, in the same home in which she died, where she had made home for over 71 years.
She worked at Glass Containers in Dayville for 20 years. She enjoyed flowers, her gardens, her strawberry beds and her grandchildren.
She leaves a son: Mark Janczyk and his wife Jean of Putnam, a sister: Nancy Dufault of Putnam, CT, her grandchildren Jessica and Marina. She was predeceased by a daughter, Debra Ann Orlowski, in 2005, siblings, Clayton, Elsie and John.
The Funeral Service will be Monday February 12, 2007 at 11:30 am at Smith & Walker Funeral Home, 148 Grove Street, Putnam, Calling Hours will be Monday from 10:00 am until time of service. Burial in West Thompson Cemetery, Thompson. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in her memory to Hospice of NECT, PO Box 632, Putnam, CT 06260.
