Obituary of Dorothy R. Lewis

Dorothy R. Lewis, 92, of Addison Street Putnam died Thursday, January 3, 2013 at Matulaitis Nursing Home in Putnam. Beloved wife of the late George Lewis. Dorothy was born July 6, 1920 in Pascoag, RI, daughter of the late William and Mary (Moore) Ray.

Dorothy was a communicant of St. Mary Church in Putnam. She was a member of the Daughters of Isabella, Embroidery Club, St. Mary League of Catholic Woman and the Aspinock Historical Society. She made her home in Putnam over 90 years.

She leaves a foster sister Kathleen Bigras of North Windham, two nieces Deborah Poitras and Janet Scott. Dorothy also leaves her good friend Irene Crabtree of Putnam.

Calling Hours will be Monday, January 7, 2013 from 8:30 to 9:30 AM at the Smith and Walker Funeral Home, 148 Grove Street, Putnam, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in St. Mary Church of the Visitation, 218 Providence Street, Putnam, CT.
