Lillian Gauthier of Putnam died peacefully at home on March 15, 2007. She was born Lillian Fisher, daughter of the late Morris & Bessie Fisher on August 9, 1924 in Worcester, MA. Lillian was educated in Worcester. She enjoyed many years working in retail in Putnam, most notably at the Worth Shop & the Putnam Shoe Store. Lillian was married to Paul Gauthier and they have one son, Thomas Gauthier of Chicago, IL. She was predeceased by her two brothers Sidney & Harry Fisher. She is survived by her loving husband Paul, son Thom, a sister-in-law, Jean Fisher, three nieces and one nephew and their families; also by her loving great niece & caregiver Laura Fisher Andersen & her family; and lifelong dear friends, Benny & Anne Auger & their family. The family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation & thanks to the staff & volunteers from Day Kimball Hospital Hospice, Homemakers, and Volunteer Services. Private funeral arrangements are being made through Smith & Walker Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to DKH Hospice of Northeastern Connecticut, PO Box 632, Putnam, CT 06260 or to Pet Pals of Canterbury or an animal protection agency of your choice.
