Bish: Where does the time go? I read of Betty's death in the Darien New-Review and just wanted to send you my sympathy. Please extend it to Meg and Charles. Tell Meg I can remember the large macrame she made for your vacation house. I also remember so well the wedding John did at your house. And, the good times Betty always had with my father. It's good to have memories. This seems like a very impersonal way to send you condolences, but I don't know your address and it is very "modern!" My love to you, Pat

With loving thoughts of Betty Bishop, a longtime friend, warm and loving mom and wife and "Cedar Gate" neighbor...Christmas carolling, July 4th parties, New Year's day "hair of the dog"...we shared many wonderful and fun times together and my children, Amy and Smith, were very fond of Betty, who always welcomed them into her home. Our thoughts and prayers to Bish, Charles and Meg.

Dear Uncle Bish, Charles, Meg, and Ellie:
This is an incredible loss for all of us and I am having a hard time saying this in only a few words. Aunt Bet was my mentor and the person with whom I so admired. When I was very young, I couldn't wait for her to come home to visit Whithey Hill. My trips to Darien are also so clear....the sleepover to visit the New York World's Fair and the Roper Thanksgivings sitting around the organ. As we all got older, Aunt Bet carried on our family traditons... the July 4th picnics and the Thanksgiving dinners at Crystal Lake. It's the only memories my boys and I will ever have. I know that she is now in a peaceful place with Gram, Gramp, Charles, Harriet, my dad and Paula!!
Love to you.

Dear Meg, Bish and family - I am so sorry to hear of the passing of your mom. I have such nice memories of her and Bish stopping by the office on their way to Trader Joe's, and of a lovely dinner at the lake house after 911. My thoughts are with you all. I am out of town this week, and won't be able to attend the service Saturday. I will be sending my love and wishes for peace and courage. Love, Amy Malick
