Obituary of Gary W. Glover
Woodstock - Gary W. Glover, 62, of New Sweden Road, Woodstock, CT, died unexpectedly Friday night at home. He was the beloved husband of Susan (Larson) Kimball-Glover, they were married May 4, 2006. He was born May 18, 1944, in Lincoln, NE, son of the late Herb and Helen (Goldstein) Glover.
He made his home in Woodstock for the last five years. He was a manufacturing engineer, retired from the Metso Corporation (formerly Jamesbury Corp.) in Shrewsbury, MA. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War, serving in the US Navy from 1969 to 1972. He was an avid fisherman; he enjoyed hiking, biking and photography. He was an explorer of the outdoors and was very mechanically minded. He was a devoted husband and father.
He leaves in addition to his wife Susan, his children, Josh Glover of Southbridge, Brett Glover of Raleigh, NC, Sarah Glover of Las Vegas, NV, step-children Erica Murray, of Westport, MA Brian Tetreault of Waltham, MA, Emily Kimball, Woodstock, one granddaughter.
