Obituary of Michael P. Rivers, Sr.

Michael P. Rivers, Sr., 63, of Riverside Drive, Thompson, died unexpectedly Thursday May 17, 2007 at his home. He was born June 29, 1943 in Putnam, son of Eugene and Laurel (Tetreault) Rivers. He worked in sales most of his life. He made his home in Putnam all his life moving to Thompson six years ago. He was an avid fan of New York Giant Football. His hobbies included fishing, hunting, football, Native American culture and Old West. He was a member of the North American Hunting Club. He was a 1961 graduate of Putnam High School and was a former Putnam Clipper football player. He enjoyed spending time with his family. He leaves his children: Michael P. Rivers, Jr of Putnam; Dawn Rivers of Danielson; Jennifer Rivers of Putnam; his former wife: Themis (Zamagni) Waddington of Putnam. Grandchildren: Hector; Michael; Luke. A Graveside Service will be Thursday (May 24th) at 10:00 AM in ST Mary Cemetery, Putnam. Donations may be made to his family to help with final expenses.
