Obituary of Hattie Margret Greene

Hattie Margret (Carney) Greene, age 74, passed away Saturday, May 26th 2007 of a sudden illness, surrounded by her loving family. Hattie was born in Lebanon, CT on August 16th 1932. She was the daughter of the late John and Millie Carney. She was a graduate of Tourtellotte Memorial High School Class of 1950. She was known for her love of family, her birds, flowers, playing cards with her friends, and slow evening boat rides around the lake. She had a passion for our town history and worked for years with the Thompson Historical Society. Hattie leaves her devoted loving husband, Clifford I. Greene of 56 years, her son Benjamin Greene, daughter-in-law Darlene and grandchildren Benjamin Jr. and Mary; her son Ronald Greene, daughter-in-law Beth and grandchildren Eric and Kevin; her daughter Angela Kress, son-in-law David and grandchildren Heather and Alyssa; her son Jeffrey Greene, daughter-in-law Kathy and granddaughter Megan; her son Carlton Greene, daughter-in-law Kelly; her siblings Irene Schmeelk, William Carney, Edith Ferrigno and the late Ruth Pray and Ella Laidley. Graveside Service will be held Tuesday May 29th at 11:00 AM in Munyan Cemetery, East Putnam Road, East Putnam, CT In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Thompson Historical Society, P.O.
