Obituary of Howard Evans, Sr.
Howard W. Evans, Sr., 98, of Danielson, CT returned home on Saturday, May 26, 2018. Born September 26, 1919 in Sterling, CT, son of the late William H. and Laura Belle (Littlefield) Evans. He was predeceased by his beloved wife Rose (Corey) Evans she died in 2015.
Howard opened the Cozy Lunch restaurant in Moosup but his finial job was as a foreman at Pervel Industry in Plainfield, CT. Howard was a beloved father, grandfather, great grandfather and great great grandfather. He leaves behind generations of loving family.
He is survived by his daughters Theresa Hart of Putnam, CT and Anne Marie of Danielson, CT, his sons Arthur H. Evans of Windham, Edward Evans of Lincoln, ME, David Evans of Milton, FL, Gary Evans of Putnam, CT and Alan Evans of Danielson, CT, his brother William Evans of Willimantic, CT. Also several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Besides his wife he was predeceased by his sons Howard Evans, Jr., Gillbert Evans, Jimmy Evans, Norman Evans and Robert Evans, Sr. His daughter Shirley Mae. His brothers Charles Evans, Melvin Evans, Lester Evans and Floyd Evans. His sisters Evelyn Bernier, Cora Lambert, Elanor Hines and Norma Carrigan.
A Special thanks to Franny Hart, Debbie Aldrich and Cathy Billings for helping Dad so much in his later life and a thank you to the employees at Davis Place in Danielson for Dad’s care.
