Obituary of Herbert L. Harriott

Herbert L. Harriott, 91, of Killingly, Connecticut, passed away quietly Sunday, May 27. Herb was born to the late Herbert and Rosina (Pickup) Harriott on May 8, 1927 in Mamaroneck, NY. He was married to Katherine (Schiffer) Harriott she died in 2007.

He grew up in Killingly, CT and graduated from Killingly High School in 1946. He was in the United States Navy during WWII. He worked in construction running heavy equipment as a member of the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 478. He enjoyed working on his numerous Antique cars and was a member of the Yankee Yesteryear Car Club for many years. He is survived by his sons Eric Harriott and Jeffrey Harriott, his grandchildren Angela Harriott, Tyler Harriott, Bradley Harriott and Morgan Harriott. He was predeceased by his brother Charles Harriott.

Calling hours will be Sunday, June 3, 2018 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM at Gagnon and Costello Funeral Home, 33 Reynolds Street, Danielson, CT. A Mass of Christian burial will be Monday at 11:00 AM at St. James Church, 12 Franklin Street, Danielson, CT. Burial with Military Honors will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery Danielson, CT.
