Mary E. Currier, 82, of Deerfield Road, Pomfret, died Saturday, June 9, 2007, surrounded by her loving family, after a brief illness. She was the beloved wife of Frank R. Currier, Sr.; they were married February 13, 1946. She was born March 18, 1925 in Pomfret, daughter of the late George and Anna (Baker) Botham. She had made her home in Pomfret all her life, a member of the Abington Congregational Church. She had worked in maintenance at the University of Connecticut and also at the Haven in Pomfret. She was a loving and caring wife, mother and grandmother. She leaves in addition to her husband Frank, her children: Frank Currier, Jr. of Spencer, MA; Mary Martin of San Antonio, TX; Marion Leins of Pomfret; Carmel Currier of Pomfret; Arthur Currier of Killingly; Dale Currier of Pomfret; Timothy Currier of Dayville; Pamela Lewis of Woodstock; a sister Esther Lyon of Woodstock; 14 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews including Jimmy Lyon of Woodstock. She was predeceased by a brother: George Botham. Funeral Services will be Private.
