I’m so sorry to hear of Bob’s passing. He was always such a good friend to my husband, Nick, in the Danielson Rotary. He will be missed.

Dear Arlene, Tim and Karen;
I am taking this opportunity to let you know how sad I was to learn of that wonderful Maine gentleman’s passing.
I think back to 2nd grade in Sheridan Elementary school when I first met Arlene and remember the experiences we shared at Princeton Junior High and South High School.
Arlene met and fell in love with the “sailor boy” as we called Bob. As we graduated from South our lives took vastly different directions. I to college and you settled down and made a wonderful life with Bob.
We saw you occasionally at reunions and get-togethers where we enjoyed old friends and our husbands sat together and we became ‘family’. The year we all turned 70 we had a reunion in Connecticut. Bob and your children, Karen and Tim put on a feast at your cottage. We reminisced around a campfire. What a wonderful memory.
Bob’s workshop skills were fun to observe. The products that came from both Arlene and Bob were amazing. We still think the bellows were the most beautiful.
Dale (my husband) and Bob became close friends and we had such fun as we met on Cape Cod and on several occasions in Florida in addition to high school reunions and the Dagmar’s get-togethers.
We miss Bob with his beautiful New England accent. We will continue to ask for God’s blessings for Arlene, Tim and Karen and their families.
Dale and Nancy Weygandt

Bob was married to my second cousin Arlene ( my mothers first cousin). They stayed with my parents, Ada & Walter, in Birmingham England number of times and this where we first met. Ada & Walter also stayed with Bob & Arlene a lot of times in Connecticut over the years becoming very dear friends. Ada passed in 1996 and Walter in 2001.
My wife and I have stayed with Bob & Arlene in Connecticut and Florida many times and carried on the friendship that started with Ada & Walter.
The delight Bob and I had eating cream cakes is evident in the attached picture taken in Ironbridge, Shropshire, England.
Bob & Arlene also drove to see us when we lived in Winnipeg and stayed a few days, a good time was had by all.
Bob and Arlene where excellent hosts and superb guests, always good company and very entertaining, a joy to be with. Great friends as well as relatives.
We will miss Bob very much. We feel privileged to have know him.
Our condolences go to Arlene and all his extended family at this difficult time.

Bobby was one of our oldest friends. He and Clarence were best buddies from second grade on. They even signed up for the USNavy together and entered the service at the same time. They kept in touch all then the years and we always enjoyed yes entertaining them when they came to Maine for class reunions, etc.
when we retired to Florida, Bob and Arlene did also and what fun we have had especially enjoying holidays meals together, etc. when I lost Clarence, Bob was there for me and I shall always remember his kindnesses even tough he was hurting also.
Bob loved Arlene and his family above all else. He talked about them all incessantly. I walked them my home the other day after I received word, and Bob was everywhere as he made us many things over the years as well as did projects after I lost Clarence. I shall always remember him with fondness. My love goes out to the family and friends in Connecticut. He shall always be remembered as long as he is in our hearts.
