I am the daughter of her older sister, Eadie Martin. Since I was raised on the West Coast, I didn't spend a lot of time with Aunt Doe. I remember her well from the times I was able to visit. Also, we were in phone contact weekly for about a year and that was a special time for me. I looked forward to our calls, Even though I didn't know her as well as some of her nieces and nephews, I knew her well enough to think she was a great lady. I wish Roger and Darlene my deepest condolences along with her extended family.

I first met Doretta in 1971 at The Thompson Congregational Church but also knew her through the Thompson Public Library. She was a delightful lady and very hard working for many causes. I am so glad that our paths crossed. My heartfelt sympathy to the family.

Please accept my sincere condolences for the passing of Meme. I got to know her through my son Glenn who was a foster child with Darlene and Frank. I’ll never forget that the times I saw Meme she treated me like a family member and with kindness. The world truly lost an angel with her passing.
