I was sorry to hear of Charles' passing. I was fortunate to know Charles my entire life--from his days working at Putnam Savings Bank to the Putnam Farmer's Co-Op. He was a good friend always going the extra mile to help. He has been somewhat of an institution in Putnam, and he will certainly be missed by all. My condolences to his entire family.

So very sorry to hear this news. Charlie taught and guided me so much on the German Shepard breed. I respected immensely his matter of fact way teaching me how to feed my wide variety of animals starting with my cat when I was a little girl who live almost 24 years thanks to his guidance; yet also including dogs, horses, chickens, goats and the rest of my entourage of pets. A wealth of knowledge and experience always gave me peace of mind. Charlie you and your personality will surely be missed. My thoughts and prayers are with all of his family and friends at this time.

Uncle Charles- the shock of your passing has lead me to remember all the wonderful childhood memories I have of you. I always enjoyed a visit at the Frankin Farm when I was a kid. I will never forget the time you gave me my own lamb, her name was "Sassafrass" she followed Dad and I around like a dog. She was pretty special. Also, the time you and Dad took me to your friends house for the Thanksgiving slaying of the Turkeys. That was pretty interesting to see and to this day I'm not quite sure why I would even want to go to something so gross as that was. I was the son my Father never had. After Mom's passing I went to the Co-op to give you some of Dad's clothes that we still had hanging in the closest since his passing. You were so happy and honored when I gave them to you. You shared with me some great memories of Dad and always told me how much you missed him. You are with him now and I can't believe it. I find comfort in knowing you are finally together. Thank you for all the great memories Uncle Charles-you will be missed.
