Obituary of Florence D. LaBelle

Florence D. LaBelle, 100, of Danielson died March 23, 2019 at Stephen’s Memorial Hospital in Norway, ME. Beloved wife of the late Roderick LaBelle, they were married for 27 yeaars before he died. She was born November 14, 1918 in Killingly, CT, daughter of the late Jerry and Anna (Lahaie) Vevia.

Florence was a lifelong resident of Danielson, CT. She worked as an Executive Secretary at Danielson Federal Savings Bank for 50 years. She was a Ham Radio enthusiast, loved puzzles and reading, belonging to many book clubs. She loved her Poodles and Shih Tzus.

She leaves her three children, who she loved. Barbara Ann Proctor and her husband Lee of West Boylston, MA, Diane Pauline Catron and her husband Larry of Oxford, ME, Richard Allen LaBelle and his significant other Eva of Lancaster, MA, grandchildren Stephen Coffy, Kevin Coffy and his wife Sandy, Karen Desiata and her husband Frank, Mark Coffy and his wife Nancy, Kathleen Dougherty and her husband John, Kevin Paganelli and his wife Kim, Mike Paganelli, Nichole McBride and her husband Joseph, JoAnn Appleby and her husband Walter, Robert Slocum, Jr., Douglas Slocum, great grandchildren Lynn Marie, Andrew, Danielle, Kyle, Nichole, Mike, Kevin, Erica, Kerri, Jessica, Haley, Amanda, Kimberly, Stephanie, Joshua, Ryan, Robbie III, eight great-great grandchildren and her dear friend Bill Hoss.  She was predeceased by a granddaughter Judy.

A graveside service will be Wednesday, March 27, 2019 at 2:15 PM at Holy Cross Cemetery, Danielson, CT. Calling hours are Wednesday from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at Gagnon and Costello Funeral Home, 33 Reynolds Street, Danielson, CT. Share a memory at www.gagnonandcostellofh.com
