What a blessing Von was to our town. She lived long and well. Remembering her playing the violin at the East Woodstock Church, her laugh like a clucking hen and seeing her work on those delicious preserves in her kitchen. She told me that her mother insisted that she and her siblings were to keep their hands busy at all times. She was honest and earnest and loved serving her town. My condolences to her family and Mary Ellen and others who knew and loved her. Rest in Peace, dear Von.
