Obituary of Stephan M. Kellner
Stephan M. Kellner, 72 of North Grosvenordale, formerly of Gary, IN. died unexpectedly, Thursday, September 12, 2019 at his home in North Grosvenordale. Beloved husband of Anne M. M. (Sharples) Kellner, they were married October 4, 1980.Born August 10, 1947 in Gary, IN, son of the late Stephan D. and Ann (Ignatz) Kellner.
Stephan was a loving and devoted husband, father and brother. He was a retired Master Sergeant with the Airforce after 20 years. He was a member of the American Legion Post 67 in N. Grosvenordale, member of the Cornerstone Quinebaug Lodge # 122 in Thompson, member of Betty Putnam Chapter 106 Eastern Star, served as Grand Representative of Nova Scotia P. E. I. near CT. Stephan was a past Grand Royal Patron of Order of the Amaranth, member of Harmony Court #12. He was an avid reader, airplane enthusiast and was a truck driver for 25 years.
Besides his wife Anne he leaves his children, Richard Kellner and his wife Heather of Virginia, Robert Kellner and his wife Hilary of Putnam, siblings Peggy Johnson and her husband Jim of Indiana, Ruth Lanham and her husband Tom of Indiana, Gail Murphy of Indiana, Mary Garus of Florida, sister-in-law Cheryl Kellner of Indiana, many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother Wally Kellner.
Calling hours will be Monday, September 16, 2019 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at the Smith and Walker Funeral Home, 148 Grove Street, Putnam, CT. Funeral service will be Tuesday at 9:00 AM at the Funeral Home followed by Military Honors.
