Obituary of Edyth Gucwa

Edyth Gucwa, age 67 passed away peacefully on Monday, December 9, 2019 at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, MA. She was born May 16, 1952 in Ashford, CT daughter of Herbert and Olive (Owen) Rogers. She was a 1970 graduate of Woodstock Academy. She married Dennis Gucwa on December 15, 1972 in Ashford.

She worked as an administrative manager with University of Connecticut. Edye truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures; chatting with friends and family, playing cards and spending time with her granddaughter. Edye had an uncanny ability to reach people in a deep and positive way. She is survived by her husband Dennis, her son Benjamin Gucwa along with two brothers and many nieces and nephews.

Family, friends and others whose lives Edye has touched are invited to the Gucwa Home, 43 Suzanne Lane, Brooklyn, CT 06234 to help celebrate Edye in the way she would want to be remembered.
