Obituary of Brenda Larsen

Brenda Steele of Danielson, Connecticut died on Thursday, April 2, 2020 at her home after a long fight against cancer. Born on March 19, 1954 to her mother Plina Mae Steele and father Willie Steele.  Brenda was raised in Newark, NJ.

Brenda loved to sing and had a beautiful voice.  She loved to cook as well.  Brenda loved her children immensely and she loved the Lord.  She was funny and one of a kind and loved deeply by her children and family.

Brenda is survived by her two children, her son Lester Maurice Steele (Michelle Steele) and her daughter Najia Steele.  She had six sisters, Willie Mae Steele, Kimberly Steele, Serita Steele, Jackie Shaw, Sandra Peterson & Charlene Smith and three brothers, Michael Steele, Frank Smith & Johnny Smith.  She is survived by one grandson Maurice Steele.  Brenda had a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; Toshana Steele (Tony Steele), David Steele, Krystal Steele Addron, Michael Steele, Amanda Steele, Mike Steele (Stephanie Steele), Deja Hogan, Imani Steele, Tony Steele Jr., Oliver Steele (Cielita Steele), Brandon Steele, Oliver Steele, Jeremiah Steele, Noah Steele, Aliana Steele; Donna Bell Dodd, Michael Mott (Michele Mott), James Bell (Seleatha Bell) & Jesse Bell.

A private calling hour was held April 8, 2020 at Gagnon and Costello Funeral Home, 33 Reynolds Street, Danielson, CT, followed by a private graveside service in Westfield Cemetery, Danielson, CT. Share a memory at www.gagnonandwalkerfh.com
