Obituary of Anna Jean Chapman
Anna Jean Chapman, 85, of East Putnam Road, Putnam, CT died Monday at the Westview Nursing Center in Dayville, CT. She was the wife of the late John Lewis Chapman; he died December 22, 2004. She was born October 24, 1921 in New Paltz, NY, daughter of the late George R. and Anna A (Burns) Ford. She had made her home in East Putnam for many years; she was a friend of East Putnam Community Church. Anna enjoyed writing, photography and had a great love and caring for all types of animals. In her youth she worked as a dance instructor. Anna also worked at a nursing home for a few years as an assistant in the recreational department. She leaves a sister-in-Law Katherine Scott of Worcester, MA and several nieces and nephews. The Funeral will be Thursday at 2:00 PM at the Smith & Walker Funeral Home, 148 Grove Street, Putnam.
