Growing up, the Richmond Sherman family and the Herman Marcy family were closely bonded. It also happened that sister Marilyn was in Kenneth's class while Allen and I were classmates at W.A. I thought so highly of Allen that I gave one of my sons his middle name - Timothy Allen Marcy. It's difficult to express my sorrow at Allen's passing, more difficult to comprehend, Marilyn, what you and your children are feeling, as well as the extended family. The Scriptures tell us not to sorrow as those who have no hope but neither doThey say we shouldn't be sorrowful. It is a time to mourn as Allen's physical presence will be greatly missed among us.
