Obituary of Howard A. Smith

Howard A. Smith, 77 of Brooklyn, CT passed away peacefully in his sleep at home on September 13, 2020. He was born March 22, 1943 in Putnam, CT, son of Clinton B. Smith, Sr. and Ellen (Smith) Smith. He was the beloved husband of Kathleen E. Smith (Wyman). She died October 23, 2019.

Howard was an honest, reliable, and a hardworking man. Forever improving his land, he is known for building stone walls, chopping wood and completing other projects, even unto his last day.  Howard lived life the way he wanted, but always with his wife's advice.

Surviving family members cherish many happy memories such as rides in his tractor garden cart and his habit of hiding a small stuffed animal for his granddaughter's Christmas.
